Blur Effect

Blur effect smudges each pixel into its neighboring pixels. You can adjust the sliders in the Blur effect to control how far and in what direction the pixels are smudged. You can also combine the blurred image with the original image to give it a softened and glowing look.

To create the Blur effect

  1. Open the image in the View & Edit area
  2. Select the areas in the image you want to blur, or you can blur the whole image when there is no selection
  3. Choose Image > Effects > Blur
  4. If the image is not in Grayscale or RGB full color mode, you will be prompted to convert the color mode, press YES to enter the effect mode for the Blur effect
  5. Adjust the Amount slider to control how much the image is to be blurred
  6. Use the Blend with original slider to add the original into the resulting image, a zero value selects only the blurred image, and 100 selects the original image
  7. Choose one the directions in which the image is to be blurred
