| Displaying File Properties |
|
Many image file formats store not only the image but also additional information about the image, such as file comments, author name, copyright, camera settings, etc. To display this information while in the Browse area, select the image and choose Edit > Properties, or right-click the file and select Properties in the context menu. This brings up the File Properties dialog box.
You can change the file name, read-only, hidden and archived flags in this dialog, and look at all information about the image captured by the digital camera, scanner or software application that created the file. Use the '<<' and '>>' buttons to navigate to the previous or next image without leaving this dialog box. You can also select multiple files then choose Edit > Properties to bring up the Multiple File Properties dialog box. This dialog box displays the total size of the selected files. This information is useful if you plan to copy the selected images to a floppy disk or CD-ROM, send email , or publish the images online . You can change the read-only, hidden and archived file attributes all at once. If you want to batch rename the selected files, choose Edit > Rename. |
