| Introduction to The View & Edit Area |
|
View & Edit is the area where you open images for viewing and editing. In the main work area, the image is displayed at the center of the window (not shown here). On the top is a menu bar and the main toolbar containing tools to print, create new, open, save, etc. Below the main toolbar is the information strip that displays the current frame index, number of frames, width and height of the image, and zoom factor of the current display. On the left, the Image Documents pane shows the background fill color setting, and lists all opened image documents with their thumbnails. If the current document is an animation, the Animation pane will appear below the Image Documents pane. You can use the animation toolbar to play, step to previous or next frame, and change frame properties.
MagicViewer keeps track of all the changes you make to the image, thus allowing you to revert the image back to any previous state. Choose Edit > Undo to revert one step and Edit > Redo to re-apply one operation. The unlimited undo capability enables you to experiment with the image and be creative. However, if you are working with a large image or have been working in an editing session for a long time, this undo history can take up a large amount of memory and slow down your computer. Choose Edit > Purge Undo Buffer to release the memory used by the Undo states and start recording new edits from this point onward. |
