Importing a Multiburst Image

Some new digital camera models, e.g. the new Sony Cybershot cameras, are equiped with a Multiburst movie mode, which captures sixteen small 320x240 images as part of a large 1280x960 image at 7.5/15/30 fps and plays it back as movie clip. If you have a camera that supports Multiburst mode, you can import these images into animations with just a few clicks.

To import a Multiburst image

  1. Make sure you are in the View & Edit mode
  2. Choose File > Import > Multiburst Image to bring up the Multiburst Import dialog, which resembles the File Open Dislog with an additional Capture Speed dropdown at the bottom of the dialog box
  3. Select a capture speed from the dropdown, and choose a file to import

Once imported, the animation can be played back, edited, optimized, and saved as an animated GIF file ready for use in a Web page.
