You can change the orientation of the image or selection.

• Choose Image > Rotate menu and then choose an angle you want to rotate.
• Choose Image > Rotate > Arbitrary to enter an angle and specify whether you want to rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Note: Rotating images at the right angles, 90º, 180º and 270º will not degrade the image quality. However, rotating images at an arbitrary angle, say 30º, will slightly reduce the sharpness of the image. If you are experimenting with different angles, it is a good practice to always undo the previous rotation and enter a new angle to rotate from the original image.
