Sharpening Blurry Images

Images can become slightly blurry when captured by a digital camera, scanned, resized, or rotated. MagicViewer sharpens an image to make it look crisp by subtracting a small amount of neighboring colors from each pixel. If you sharpen an image repeatedly, it will look dried out and noisy.

To sharpen a blurry image

  1. Open the image in the View & Edit area
  2. If the image is not in grayscale or RGB full color mode, use Color > Convert Color Mode To > Grayscale or RGB Full Color to change the color mode
  3. You can make selections of the areas that you want to sharpen in the image, or sharpen the whole image without a selection
  4. Choose Image > Enhance > Sharpen or Image > Enhance > Sharpen More
