Viewing Images

Images are displayed initially at the size that the whole image is visible within the window. You can view images at different sizes and customize the way images are displayed using MagicViewer's View options.

To change the zoom factor

  1. Use View > Zoom In or Zoom Out to increment or decrement the zoom factor by one at a time
  2. Use View > Original Size to display the image at its natural size without any scaling
  3. Use View > Full Screen to display the image at the full size that can fit on your screen
  4. Use View > Best Fit on Screen to display the whole image within the window as the image is displayed initially

Using the Zoom tool

The Zoom tool locks in place the point where you clicked while zooming on the image, so you do not need to scroll to see the area of interest. A single click increments the zoom factor by one, thus making the image appear larger. If you hold down the Ctrl key while you click, it will decrement the zoom factor and make the image appear smaller.

Scrolling

When the display of the image is larger than the window, you need to use the scroll bars to reveal different parts of the image. You can also use the Free Scroll tool  to click and hold the mouse button to scroll the image at any directions as you move the mouse.

Changing display options

Choose File > Preferences > Display Options to customize the image display.
