Major upgrade to the software companion for digital cameras
Waltham, MA - Oct. 20, 2003 - Crayon Software, LLC (http://www.crayonsoft.com),
the digital imaging software developer, today announced the immediate
availability of MagicViewer version 3.2, a major upgrade to the photo
retouching and organization tool of choice for many people at work, schools and
homes on their Microsoft Windows-based computers. This new release adds more
photo enhancement tools and image effects, improves on descriptive text
support, and allows quick import of animations from the new digital camera
MultiBurst captured images, making this latest version a great software
companion for digital cameras.
MagicViewer 3.2 offers consumers expanded options for fixing their digital
photos, including removing red-eyes, adjusting brightness and contrast,
sharpening blurry pictures, and cropping photos to popular print sizes. In
addition to the existing emboss and drop shadow effects, the new blur and sepia
effects allow users to add more creative touches, giving their photos a
softened glowing impression or an aged look. All edits and effects applied to
the image are reversible using unlimited level of undo and redo commands.
Users adding description or copyright information to their photos will enjoy the
new ability in MagicViewer 3.2 to display a Web address in file comments as
hypertext linking directly to a Web page, and the option to print file comments
with the image.
MultiBurst is a new digital camera movie mode that captures sixteen small images
as part of a single large image. MagicViewer 3.2 imports the MultiBurst
captured image into an animation at the same frame rate as it was captured,
allowing the movie clip to be played back on the user's computer, edited,
optimized and saved as animated GIF files ready for use in a Web page.
